About Me

Josh Beckman, aspiring Animator, Junior Animation major at Bradley University graduating in May of 2025.

I’ve always had a passion for creating fun and new things in the video format from special effects to short films. Ever since I can remember I was always directing and doing some sort of video editing for short films with my friends. This thing I loved to do started in elementary school and continued to high school, where I really started to develop a mindset of what I wanted to do with my life. Taking video art classes helped me to dive deeper into that passion to lead me to where I am today creating cool new projects.

Coming into college has really allowed me to gain more experience and knowledge to apply to my portfolio as well as obtain skills that have allowed me to be as efficient and successful as I possibly can. I have applied these skills to video creation for organizations such as clubs I was involved with in high school and the fraternity I am a part of now. One of my more notable projects that wasn’t just for a class grade, but a convention held by the school, was showcased at the Riverfront Museum in downtown Peoria, IL where my project was displayed on the planetarium projector.
